New book: Conceptual Modeling: Foundations and Applications - Essays in Honor of John Mylopoulos. Borgida, A.T.; Chaudhri, V.; Giorgini, P.; Yu, E.S. (Eds.). LNCS 5600, Springer 2009.
I received a PhD in Computer Science at University of Ancona in 1998. Between March and October 1998, I continued my research activity at University of Macerata and University of Ancona. In November 1998, I joined as Post-Doc the Mechanized Reasoning Group at Dipartimento di Informatica e Studi Aziendali (DISA), and then the Information Engineering and Computer Science Department (DISI), University of Trento. I have been visiting researcher at the Computer Science Department of University of Toronto (2000) and at the Software Engineering Department of University of Technology, Sydney (2005). I currently lead the Software Engineering and Formal Methods research group at DISI and I'm member of the Intelligent Information Processing group. Recently, I have started the new research Laboratory for Mobile Applications (LaMA) and I'm leading Biztek, the start-up centre at the Faculty of Economics.
My research interests lie in the area of (agent-oriented) software engineering, multi-agent systems, mobile and context-aware applications, and reasoning under uncertainty. You can get at my publications or my research page if you want to find out more.
I'm co-editor in chief of the International Journal of Agent-oriented Software Engineering and I contributed to the organization of many international (AO)Software Engineering and Agent events.
